Data Center – retiring by 2029
Atlassian is retiring Data Center. Since 30 March 2026, new customers can no longer buy Data Center licenses. Existing customers can renew until 30 March 2028. On 28 March 2029 all licenses expire, and instances become read-only.
This affects Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket Data Center – and Bamboo and Crowd, which only exist as Data Center. We keep supporting existing licenses until the end.
